Jungle Lodges n Resorts...

The Day we started

It was 21st November 2007. We are planning to attend the marriage of one of my M.Tech Classmate, Vamsi Markapuram at Bangalore. That day, I left office early at around 2’0 clock. After reaching the room, I went for lunch; connected to office network through vpn and did some office work. It was around 4.30 that I disconnected and started to packup for the trip.

I packed up everything, took shower and was waiting for one of my roommate, Chakri to come to room, so that we can travel together to Kacheguda Railway Station. He has come at around 5:30 and we departed for the station. As we entered the railway platform, I have got a call from santhosh asking where I was, and that everyone has come and were waiting for me. Unfortunately, he quoted chakri too in the list who had just come to the station and also, I could see Ravi entering the platform - more than enough to confirm that Santhosh was kidding.

We went to Platform 2 where the Kacheguda Express was standing still and noisy with people boarding the train. All the seven members of the group – Myself, Chakri, Santhosh, Ravi, Sreekar, Ramarao, Vamsi Shekar have gathered in a few minutes and boarded the train. Unfortunately, two of the seats we have reserved fell in a different compartments and Santhosh, Ravi have went out to check with the Ticket Collector.

All of us had fun time cracking jokes, laughing and chit chatting. Meanwhile, the pantry person came and we have ordered dinner – 3 meals and 3 Vegetable Biryani – that were to be delivered at the coming railway station. Chakri said that he wanted to do fasting as he already knew that the food wouldn’t be good to eat, but ordered tomato soup from a mobile vendor. Honestly, we didn’t understand the logic of his fasting. Then, we have took out playing cards to play the infamous “7 cards” game. In the first round of the game, Santhosh was the first to dispose the set of 7 cards given to him. He rose from his seat saying that he would take time to party his win, but soon found out that he still had 2 more cards that were mistakenly kept beneath him during distribution of cards and we burst out in laughter.

Finally, the station where the dinner ought to be delivered has come and we had our dinner parcels in our hands. The food was not good enough. Later the Ticket Collector asked us to close the game as there would be policemen boarding the train at Gadwal and would be snatching the cards. So, we have stopped playing the game.

Sreekar was carrying his laptop so as to work on the day after the marriage. He had some movies in this laptop. One of them was “Jab We Met”. We have tried to watch the movie. But, the train sound was so loud that we couldn’t clearly hear the audio. So Ramarao, chakri and santhosh have gave up watching the movie and Myself, Ravi and Vamshi Shekar have watched the entire movie.

The time has come for us to sleep. Chakri and Santhosh have gone to their respective berths at S3 sleeper class compartment of the train. Ramarao climbed to the top berth and started sleeping, the person opposite to his berth was snoring (which at first we thought was from Ramarao) . We were just lying in our berths talking and laughing. Then has come the time where two of us – Sreekar, myself wanted the fan to be switched on and the others – Ravi and Vamshi Shekar wanted the fan to be switched off. While we switched on the fan, they were switching it off and after two attempts, Sreekar switched on the fan that was located in the middle of the cabin. An old lady sleeping in the side berth was murmuring that we had been making lots of noise and disturbing her to which the TC asked us to stop talking. I felt that the old people doesn't really know what you feel like having some beautiful moments in life.

The Day of Kalyanamastu

We boarded off the train at around 7:00 AM and looked for Karnataka Tourism counter which has not yet opened. We took two autos and directly went to the Kalyana Matapam as our rooms were booked near to the functional hall. Just as we were about to get out from the auto, we saw the bridegroom vamsi almost half naked, clad in a lungi and a shawl sort of cloth covering the top. Later the marriage went well. We could witness some of the tradition which we normally heard but never have seen in any marriage. We had lunch and we started off to our room to pack up and keep moving for the rest of the days to come.

What this Blog is all about...

I like writing, writing what I like to share with others.
In my Post Gradution days, we guys had a trip to Vizag and that was the best part of my MTech Life. I made a presentation out of the photos. Some liked, some never looked :)

I started writing the story of the trip from Day 1. But, couldn't complete it. I postponed it and it got delayed to the extent that I don't remember each and every instant of my trip.

I had the similar experience with my KGudi Trip. Ah!! Never heard of KGudi - pretty right guess by me. Its a Forest. I started jotting down. After a while, I forgot that I had ever written something.

So, I want to post this into a blog - (writing a blog and let others see this - ofcourse, not all blogs) - keeps me interesting - atleast for sometime till I loose interest.

I would be writing my trip or any other good incidents which I would like to share. I can't write the entire thing in one day nor want to have a very lengthy description. So, I would be splitting my writing per each post. You can easily follow up with the title of the post...

So, Lemme start blogging...
